Ever wanted to try partner dancing but been intimidated by the flashy moves, the idea of dancing with complete strangers, or just heard that it's super difficult? Then you'll love our no-judgment, no-pressure, community-oriented approach to this high energy, super fun dance form!
So learn the basics in our 90 minute workshop at Community Studio, Santacruz West, from 8.30 to 10PM! No partner required to join, and we switch partners every few minutes, so you won't be dancing with the same partner throughout. This workshop is a great way to try partner dancing without committing to a series of classes, but also works as a transition to our longer format classes.
When selecting role, please note that Lead Role means the partner who leads or suggests the steps and the Follow Role means the partner who takes the suggestions of the lead and completes the step. Historically, men would dance lead and women follow but there's no hard and fast rule. The only limitation is once you buy a ticket you will need to stick to that role during the workshop.
